Update - October 25, 2005
Permission to build our outdoor facility to congregate on the riverbank came through again.
The service last night in the yard next to the mission house was blessed as we had a drama, a group of four of our Esse Ejja converts from Eyoquibo came and sang a special in their language, and then a notorious preacher from the states preached a stirring message, "The cost of sin in the Christian life." I chose "notorious" to describe this preacher rather than "famous," because the preacher was me.
Today a young mother whose husband is in the hospital came asking for work to buy food. I gave her $l.75 in the name of the Lord. That will buy four pounds of rice, a stalk of bananas, two pounds of sugar, and a pound of dried meat.
Then a couple of Mosatens, my neighbors, visited me. They live in a bamboo house with a thatched roof. Their request was that I receive visits from their fifteen year old son who has chosen to study with us to become a Christian and to be baptized. He will come at four this afternoon with his sixteen year old brother who is already a Christian worshipping with us.
Please pray for this ministry, as only God's miracles can accomplish what we need to see done here. I love watching His miracles, don't you?
